2021.11.30 08:53 sixthasimha Does anyone take the liquid from of sertraline?
Hi everyone. I'm prescribed the 25mg pill form and my psychiatrist instructed me to cut them in half to start with. I have an appointment with her this afternoon and I'm expecting to up my dose and I was thinking about asking her if I can switch to the liquid form. Does anyone else take the liquid form of sertraline? I've read it's minty and you need to dilute it with a cup of water.
I know it might seem silly but the main reason I want to switch is just because I looked at the ingredients in both the pill and liquid, and I don't like all the artificial colors and such in the pills. I was also wondering about the alcohol in the liquid though?
Thanks for any feedback 😁

2021.11.30 08:53 aelnaggar best AP to combine/mesh with the Dream Router UDR
I've managed to get a Dream Router and so far things are cool, hopefully, it won't explode soon (just kidding).. anyway I have a wireless 1700 AC Repeater that I use also as an AP via ethernet for the dead spots in my flat. I was thinking to buy one of the uifi APs as a replacement also may be placing it in a mesh network. The thing is I have only two wifi6 devices and the other 4 devices support only wifi 5 AC.. which AP do you recommend buying? I just want something a bit future-proof but also support the old standard with good speeds.
PS. I have 1000/50 Mbit internet via Cable

2021.11.30 08:53 KarlAlrik Inability to focus eyes / attention
I have all the regular VSS symptoms but I also have trouble focusing on anything for more than a few seconds - screens, books, faces, conversation, radio, music. Trying to go against this builds stress without much gain.
I feel like this is the biggest problem for me by far and prevents me from being able to work. Are others dealing with the same? Is there anything to do about it?

2021.11.30 08:53 Rocky049 Iron Man vs Darth Vader
That has to be one of the more stranger dreams Ive had.
So, it all started with a group of peeps and me going into this huge museum it seemed and checking it out. All of the sudden Iron Man and Darth Vader were here (I guess they crashed through the roof, can't remember) and fought. Iron man lost the fight but was only injured with a broken armor and no helmet anymore, so they settled on a 2nd battle...
...The hacking battle! Both sat on the same table facing eachother hacking into eachother's system while arguing and insulting eachother. Like, Tony said "You know I have the most modern and secure on this planet, unlike your security that is just as bad as your stormtroopers aim."
and Darth is like "Sure, your planet is so filthy weak I could just destroy it by a press of a button if I lose"
Tony: "O.O ah.."
At the end Tony lost.
So they thought about a punishment for the loser and cause darth won he got to choose, so he came up with..
...SEX PUNISHMENT! Tony had to go on all fours (hands and knees) on a bed full on naked! On a bed that was conveniently placed beside them in the museum the whole time I guess.
Tony had to seduce Darth and act like he loves it, but he struggled. Darth was checking him out, touching his shoulder, back, all the way to his butthole and Tony freaked out, crawled to the side of the bed and asked "a-a-are you sure you wanna do this?! Lemmie atleast clean my asshole😭"
Then I woke up. :V I guess I was a ghost viewing this the whole time since they didn't see me.

2021.11.30 08:53 SpaghettiYoda Variola Vera (1982) - A stark depiction of a virus outbreak, which resonates very strongly today
Horror isn’t always escapist fun. Variola Vera, which is also the Latin name for Smallpox, is a 1982 film from former Yugoslavia which is part horror, part hospital drama, and part historical account. In 1972, two decades after Europe had eradicated the disease, a case of smallpox was identified in a hospital in Belgrade. Variola Vera is a fictional interpretation of that harrowing pocket of time.
Video Essay version, with footage from the film can be seen here: https://youtu.be/k-rfJl8xQPg
It all starts with the haunting melody of a flute. A travelling pilgrim is enticed by the flute player and purchases the instrument from him, undeterred by the man’s apparent sickness. In what must become the greatest case of buyers remorse of all time, the pilgrim ventures to Belgrade where he unsurprisingly becomes ill himself. The real surprise comes later when the doctors discover it is smallpox. The hospital has already been set up as a struggling institute due to the interpersonal staff dramas and the building itself being in disrepair. Eventually, the government impose a forced quarantine on the hospital and everyone inside. We the audience are trapped alongside them, wallowing in the never-ending tension, terrified of an invisible killer villain.
Dangerous viruses. Face masks. Lockdowns. Quarantine. I’m writing this review a year and a half into the Covid-19 pandemic and it is impossible not to draw parallels to current events whilst watching. It certainly adds a new dynamic. With this film, and indeed many horror films, you regularly ask yourself what you would do in that situation. Personally speaking at least, my experience in this pandemic has been thankfully distant from the events depicted in the film. But after 18 months of absorbing the news and the stories from others who have been less fortunate, Variola Vera hits strongly today.
The film is not presented as a docudrama per say, but it all feels very real. It is shot in a very simple fashion, free from any directorial flourishes or distracting elements that might remind you that you’re watching a film. It is a clinical experience by design, from the basic whitewashed opening credits to the pragmatic matter-of-fact presentation of events. The actual hospital that was at the epicentre of the whole ordeal was used as a primary shooting location, and plenty of research was carried out to ensure the makeup was a true representation.
Some might argue that it is not a horror film in a strict traditional sense, but it is often labelled as one. The dread is relentless. At first it comes from being omnipotent. We know the severity from the off, but the infected individual is free to roam, painfully unaware. It can be compared to the recent Chernobyl miniseries, where you’re screaming at the TV for the guys in charge to take the situation more seriously, although this story is not as infuriating or negligent as that. An expert on smallpox is brought in and his presence his wonderful; both comforting, and alarming. His hidden persona behind this inhuman hazmat getup is like a plague doctor of old, and everyone in the room goes still when he arrives. The dread is bolstered by the recurring melody of the flute, a constant terrifying reminder of how simply this incredible threat began.
Given how terribly the situation could have gone in real life, it is a somewhat happy end, but the silence that ends the final scene is, especially today, is all too deafening.

2021.11.30 08:53 pgirl40 Partner moved in and I gained weight
Hello all. I met my boyfriend early last year and we decided to move in this year in June. His eating habits were terrible and we talked about how I was worried it would be a problem for me when he moved in. I've been able to maintain a stable weight for about 8 years after losing 20 pounds by not buying the foods I crave, not even having any of that stuff in the house. I used to eat out once a week with friends before covid. I hiked regularly a few times a week. Since he moved in 5 months ago there is always pop and cookies and ice cream around that he buys. He wants to make me breakfast on the weekends which is usually waffles and sausage (I used to eat a couple eggs scrambled or nothing at all till lunch time). He wants to order out 2-3 times a week, usually pizza or wings or pasta. So far I've gained about 9 pounds and I'm worried it's going to keep going up. He knows about my struggle and asked what he can do to help, and I gave him some suggestions but it never sticks. He did start going to the gym with me and quit cigarettes, so his habits have improved with us joining our lives together, but I'm really struggling with anger, self hate, and depression since he moved in.
Can anyone else relate? If you've been successful in a situation like this, how did you cope and what did you do? I'm trying to count calories but by the end of the night I give in and say "there's always tomorrow" as I'm scooping out a bowl of ice cream.

2021.11.30 08:53 igglezzz Why are some immigrants so desperate to get to the UK instead of staying in EU?
I'll preface this by saying I lean very left, and I'm totally for helping my fellow man. And I can completely understand the idea of trying to have, and your children having a better life. I'd absolutely want to do the same.
But what I can't understand is why after getting all the way from the Middle East/Africa to Europe, these people then pay lots of money to get on a little & over capacity dingy to reach the UK from France. Why aren't they just settling in other seemingly great EU countries, like Netherlands or Germany for example? Putting your pregnant wife and children on these dingys just seems so ridiculously risky and it's awful reading about them drowning. Is there something I'm missing about the UK over other European countries for these people to risk their life over?
